Had we not become sick that one time, what would have become of us? Had we not failed that one time, what would have become of us? What we faced may have been a problem, but through facing that problem we may have avoided greater problems. On that day we will see why the Lord allowed all these things to happen to us. On that day we will bow our heads and say, “Lord, I was a fool, because I did not praise You that day. I was a fool, because I did not give thanks to You that day.” When our eyes are opened and we become clear on that day, how very shameful we will be when we recall our murmurings.

We have to learn to believe and to praise. If we do, we will say on that day, “Lord! I thank You for Your grace which saved me from unnecessary complaints and murmurings...” We have a desire to praise the Lord because He is good. We need to always say, “The Lord is good.” Today we have to learn to believe that the Lord is good and that He is never wrong, even though we cannot always understand what He is doing. If we believe, we will praise. Our praises are His glory. To praise is to glorify God. God is worthy of all glory. May God gain abundant praises from His children.

Sharing 1

Following is what I enjoyed, taken from the e-manna.
======================================

Psa 50:23 Whoever offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies Me.

1 Cor 13:12 For now we see in a mirror obscurely, but at that time face to face; now I know in part, but at that time I will fully know even as also I was fully known.

Here, the word thanksgiving can also be translated as praise. The Lord is waiting for our praises. Nothing can glorify our God as praises can. One day, all the prayers, works, prophesying, and labor will be over. But on that day our
praises will be more than today's. Praise will last for eternity; it will never cease. Today we have the opportunity to learn the best lesson; we can learn to praise God even today.

Today is still the time when we see in a mirror obscurely (1Cor. 13:12). Although we can see a little of many things, we cannot understand the meaning behind them. We can only feel the pain of all the inward wounds and outward trials that we have encountered and experienced. We cannot comprehend the significance behind them. This is why we do not praise. We believe that praises will abound in heaven because there will be full knowledge in heaven. The fuller the knowledge, the fuller the praise. Everything will be clear when we go before the Lord on that day. The things that are unclear to us today will be clear to us on that day. On that day we will see the Lord's excellent will in every step of the Spirit's discipline. When we see everything on that day, we will bow our head and praise Him saying, “Lord, You were never wrong.”

Sabah trip- part 2

Well, we reached Sandakan in the evening around 7 something. I was there reigning over most of the things in my life; trying hard to decide what's best for me and other people. I am just like Jacob, a supplanter; who grab holds of everything I could with my own natural strength. In the end all I got was just problems after problems and I was really exhausted since I didn't want to step down. But tonight, through certain circumstances, I see that the Lord should be the One reigning on the throne in my heart. Praise the Lord that He's the One sitting on the throne; reigning and rulling over everything, over us. The reason why so many problems arise in our life is because we don't see and realise that the Lord is the One on the throne. When we submit ourselves to Him, He will be glad to bear everything on our behalf. May the Lord open our eyes and grant us a clear sky to see and experience Him as the one on the throne; rulling and reigning in us.

Sabah trip- part 1

Last year I went to Sabah along with my family and the youths from Subang Jaya,Kuala Lumpur and Selayang. There were altogether 31 of us. We were there from the 19th of Dec till the 29th of Dec. During that trip we've been to 9 places, namely,Tawau,Semporna,Kunak,Kota Kinabatangan,Sandakan,Ranau,Tambunan,Keningau and Kota Kinabalu.

We arrived at Tawau around 9 something in the morning.

My sis and I

Upon arriving, the saints took us to the meeting hall in Tawau. Later in the afternoon we went to the Tawau Hill Park for jungle tracking to see the world tallest tropical tree. We were advised to put 风油 on our hands and neck and also to tuck our pants into our socks. This is to prevent us from donating blood to the leeches in the park.

Look at me ;p

It took us about 15 minutes to reach our destination. At first the path seems very nice since it is covered with tiny black stones. However as we advance further into the jungle, the path became a wet-muddy-slippery path. Everyone had a great time tracking. No one came out unstained. All of us was busy washing our shoes and legs at the toilet when we got out.

Here's the sign with the tree behind

Leech on dad's hand

A millipede with a 'ball-ball' bug

We had meeting with the saints in Tawau later that night. The next morning we 'hired' a bus to bring us to our next destination. Little did we know, the bus was small and its compartment wasn't big enough to fit all our luggage. So we ended up lining most of our luggage along the isle on the bus. Every time when we have to go down the bus everyone have to lift the luggage beside us and place it on our seat.

Our next stop was Semporna..It was raining when we reached there. There's also no church in Kunak just the brother and his family. Well, on our way there, the air-cond broke down. We were severely 'stewed' in the bus. Soooo hot and stuffy. I was trying to get some sleep in the bus and i woke up in a pool of sweat.haha... ><

Group photo before leaving

Next stop, Lahad Datu. We had a short meeting with the saint and then a simple fruit feast and then we left for Sandakan since we are behind schedule. Those pictures I took at Lahad Datu were blur and dark so won't upload any of 'em here.

On the way to Sandakan, we stopped by Kota Kinabatangan for toilet break. Almost all of the people there are muslim. Almost everyone looked at us when we passed by those shop lots. It must have been rare for them seeing such a big tour passing by.

And finally we reached Sandakan at night time around 7 something. What did we do there? Well, find out more in the upcoming entries. As for now, Sabah trip part 1 ends here.

Memorial Day Conference

Following is a brief summary of what I enjoyed in the past Memorial Day Conference messages. The general subject of the conference is experiencing and enjoying Christ to abound in the work of Christ according to His full ministry of three stages- incarnation, inclusion, and intensification.

I'm much enlighten by the brother's opening words. He mentioned that in Revelation 1:1, we can see that the book of Revelation is written to slaves of Christ. Therefore, in order for us to understand what is written in this book, first of all, we need to stand on the position of a slave of Christ. Besides that, in Rev 1:4-5, we also see that this book is written to the local churches. This indicates that we need to remain in the church, have a proper church life and service, otherwise we are unable to hear God's speaking.

In order for us to experience and enjoy Christ to abound in the work of Christ according to His full ministry of three stages, first of all we need to have a thorough understanding of the three divine and mystical stages of Christ full ministry. The first stage is the stage of incarnation. The work of the ministry in this stage produces redeemed people. The second stage is the stage of inclusion. The work of ministry in this stage produced the church and produces the churches. The third stage is the stage of intensification. The work of the ministry in this stage produces the overcomers.

In the stage of incarnation, the infinite God became a finite man named Jesus Christ in order to redeem us and to reconcile us back to God. We were redeemed at a tremendous cost through Christ's death on the cross. When we are redeemed, we are being purchased. Such a purchase includes a transfer in ownership. We have been bought with a great price, we are not our own. It is Christ that should have the preeminence in us. Moreover, Christ's redemption also separated us from our vain manner of life and usher us into being holy in all our manner of life. Another important matter is that when we are saved, we have a new life, a new beginning, with this new life comes a new occupation- preaching the gospel. Therefore, in order to do the work of Christ in the stage of incarnation, we need to rise up to cooperate with Christ to preach the highest gospel.

How often do we think of our future?

How frequently do we think for ourselves?

Then, how often do we care for the Lord’s needs?

Do you even know that the all mighty God who created the heavens and the earth has a need?

If yes, again I would like to ask you, how much do we care for His need today on earth?

Luke 12:7 “But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered….”

Dear saints and friends, even our hairs have been numbered, which ourselves have never counted or could never count, what more is our future which we’ve counted over and over again. I was really reminded by what Br. Lee said to the graduates in the video. He said, each of us can be useful to the Lord. But in order for us to be useful to Him, we first need to be a functioning member of the Body of Christ. So, how do we become a functioning member? One of the ways is by preaching the gospel regularly, with a burden.

This really reminds me that I should not regard preaching the gospel as a duty. Instead, I should make it part of my living. Only then will I have the burden in preaching the gospel. O Lord Jesus, may the Lord gain each and every one of us to live for the gospel’s sake. Amen.

Since all these things are to be thus dissolved, what kind of persons ought you to be..."

Following is a portion of words taken from the Ministry Magazine which i enjoyed,

" In our fellowship with the Lord we need to consider what kind of persons we will be at the end. Will we be persons in a holy manner of life and godliness? Will we...be found by Him in peace because we are right in the sight of God with everyone and everything? This is the way we want to end our course....Eventually, God's ultimate governmental dealing will be upon the material universe, which will dissolve in intense heat. Everything will be dissolved; nothing will remain. Then there will be new heavens and a new earth permeated with God's righteousness. Since this will happen, what kind of persons ought we to be? We must say, " Lord, we ought to become the reproduction of Christ."

Dear saints, in order to become a reproduction of Christ, we need to experience Christ as the One living in us, being formed in us and making His home deep down in our being so that He can spread from our spirit to all the parts of our heart. The more Christ spreads within us, the more He settles down in us and makes His home in our heart; in this way He occupies every part of our inner being, possessing these parts and saturating them with Himself so that we may be filled unto all the fullness of God. As Christ lives in us, is formed in us, and makes His home in our hearts, we become a reproduction of Christ.

O what a privilege that we can hear such a word in these days. Therefore, we must be the more diligent to pursue the growth and development of the divine life within us in this age. We don't want to be those who will be weeping and gnashing our teeth in the outer darkness.

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord's Recovery, today, almost all of the high peak divine revelations are opened to us, are we willing to dive into them or do we prefer to be in that pitiful situation just like the others from the denominations when the Lord comes back?

May we all be encouraged to redeem our time, pursue and equip ourselves with the truth with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. The Lord be with us all. Amen.

Laugh Please

Below is an essay written by a primary school student.
