We arrived at Tawau around 9 something in the morning.
Upon arriving, the saints took us to the meeting hall in Tawau. Later in the afternoon we went to the Tawau Hill Park for jungle tracking to see the world tallest tropical tree. We were advised to put 风油 on our hands and neck and also to tuck our pants into our socks. This is to prevent us from donating blood to the leeches in the park.
It took us about 15 minutes to reach our destination. At first the path seems very nice since it is covered with tiny black stones. However as we advance further into the jungle, the path became a wet-muddy-slippery path. Everyone had a great time tracking. No one came out unstained. All of us was busy washing our shoes and legs at the toilet when we got out.
We had meeting with the saints in Tawau later that night. The next morning we 'hired' a bus to bring us to our next destination. Little did we know, the bus was small and its compartment wasn't big enough to fit all our luggage. So we ended up lining most of our luggage along the isle on the bus. Every time when we have to go down the bus everyone have to lift the luggage beside us and place it on our seat.
Our next stop was Semporna..It was raining when we reached there. One of the local saints came and brought us to the fish aquarium. There is no church in Semporna. But there are about 10 saints there.
The aquarium
Big fish
Illegal immigrants from neighbouring countries

After that we head towards Kunak to visit a brother. There's also no church in Kunak just the brother and his family. Well, on our way there, the air-cond broke down. We were severely 'stewed' in the bus. Soooo hot and stuffy. I was trying to get some sleep in the bus and i woke up in a pool of sweat.haha... ><
On the way to Sandakan, we stopped by Kota Kinabatangan for toilet break. Almost all of the people there are muslim. Almost everyone looked at us when we passed by those shop lots. It must have been rare for them seeing such a big tour passing by.
And finally we reached Sandakan at night time around 7 something. What did we do there? Well, find out more in the upcoming entries. As for now, Sabah trip part 1 ends here.
